Welcome to Just Write Books.
Just Write Books publishes: a few titles each year. At Just Write we believe in a collaborative process. Working together with authors/clients, we work to help the author of any publication achieve his/her goals.
We offer these titles to the public through our website, local bookstores/retailers and through amazon.com.
About new authors and books. We do not accept unsolicited manuscripts. If you have a book that you think fits with our theme of Maine authors, Maine books and Maine stories; call or email to begin a conversation. Our current schedule is "booked" through May 2019. We will begin considering new submissions (after writer/publisher contact) January 2019.
Owing to a strong demand for publishing services, we have added division of our company using the imprint High Point Publishing. We'll be able to publish authors throughout New England. We'll be adding information about this publishing imprint very soon.

The People & The Idiots

Thirteen Moons by Robert Chute
|
We're finalizing the People & The Idiots by Daniel Hawes.
Daniel Hawes grew up in a cult, separated from his parents, brother, and sister and prevented from receiving an education. This is a story of abuse, anguish, and resilience. Today, Hawes focuses on his survival and all good things in his world. This book tells the story about Hawes’ life in the Synergias and inside the cult that produced Biosphere 2. |
Thirteen Moons, in its tri-lingual publication, is being reprinted in soft cover. The book, written by Robert Chute, uses poetry to tell the story of Sebastian Rale, a man who lived with the Abenaki Indians for thirty years and compiled an Abenaki-French dictionary. It follows his life with them, as English settlers attack the Abenaki at Norridgewock, fearing Rale and thinking he was a French spy and “instigator of French rebellion.”
This book, as Rale did in his life, honors the Abenaki by providing the story in their language, Passamaquoddy. |
