“Managing Your Personal Productivity” is the topic of a Brown-Bag Success Seminar Milliken will present April 19 from 11:35 to 12:25 sponsored by the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber of Commerce and Just Write Books and hosted by the Topsham Public Library, 25 Foreside Road.
The program will offer personal tactics for improving one’s habits to get better results without the disappointment that frequently attends the “New Year’s Resolution” syndrome. Over a 30-year career, Jim Milliken has developed practical, low-impact approaches for getting more done, improving problem-solving and enjoying better relationships.
His program emphasizes modest changes in one’s behavior, with a low demand for willpower. He does not dismiss time management as an important skill set but shows how it works so much better when it is supported by clear advance thinking and preparation.
Jim Milliken, a Portland-based consultant, presents personal productivity and communication programs throughout New England, and regularly delivers a three-course Project Management curriculum in the Professional Development Program of the University of Southern Maine. His book, Life Is a Project: How Are You Managing?, published by Just Write Books, will be available for purchase at the Chamber event.
Just Write Books, located in Topsham, Maine, publishes a few books each year—fiction, non-fiction and poetry—written by Maine authors telling Maine stories. Published titles can be found in an array of local booksellers and specialty shops as well as an online bookstore jstwrite.com or amazon.com.
