Just Write Books is a small publishing company producing Maine books collaboratively with Maine authors. We publish a few books each year—Maine historical fiction, Maine poets chapbooks, non-fiction written by Maine authors and fiction by a handful of Maine authors.

What We Publish.

We publish a few books each year. We do not accept unsolicited manuscripts. If you have a book that you think fits with our current theme of Maine authors, Maine books and Maine stories; call or email to start a conversation. If you think you need editing services check out our recommended professional page. We will be adding others soon.

We do not handle children’s books, as they they require much effort to coordinate text and illustrations and then cannot be priced high enough for author and publisher to make a profit. We are sorry to turn away so many good children's books.

In 2005 Just Write Books was created—a small publishing company producing Maine books collaboratively with Maine authors. The press is an offshoot of Just Write Communications operating since 1990 as a marketing/desktop publishing/business consulting services company in the Brunswick area. Nancy E. Randolph's love of books, people and reading served as the catalyst to move into publishing.

In addition H. R. Coursen and the late John Cole urged Randolph to consider exploring publishing. Each said that she was doing much of the work already as she was providing editing, page and cover layout to authors.

With a BA in Journalism, a talent for design and a lifelong career in journalism, marketing and public relations, Randolph is able to provide a quality product in content and design.
